Who I Am

I’m a multi-disciplinary Investor, Product Manager, and Technologist living in Austin, Texas. Since 2011 I’ve worked at large scale, hyper-growth technology companies.

I specialize in software as a service (SaaS) products and have experience with data science, machine learning, mobile apps, cyber security, web hosting, and web apps.

Where I Work

I’m a Senior Product Manager at New Knowledge, an information integrity company. New Knowledge defends against disinformation and protects the integrity of information ecosystems. Our technology monitors the digital landscape to detect subversive campaigns before they can undermine or hijack a brand’s narrative.

Previously, I was a Product Manager at Duo Security focused on duo’s mobile app helping protects organizations against data breaches with multifactor authentication. Before that I was a Product Manager at WP Engine, WP Engine is the leading digital experiences platform on WordPress. 5% of the web visits a site on WP Engine’s platform every day. Prior, I was an Interaction Designer at Indeed.com, the world’s #1 job search engine, where I helped 180 million job seekers find jobs every month. Preceding that, I was a Product Design Intern at Bazaarvoice helping brands connect with their customers through ratings and reviews.

Product Trust Investments

Recently I founded an impact investing angel fund focused on inclusive technology companies with diverse teams solving real problems in the world with responsible and ethical technology products.

Too often companies seeking to solve big problems with true care for their customers—can’t get off the ground. I want to change that. I believe that the best technology companies are inclusive, focused on real problems in the world, and build secure, private, and ethical products that people trust.

How I Work

Understand the problem, empathize with the person. Explore the competitive landscape. Identify strategic opportunities. Define design goals and requirements.

Combine effective interfaces, smart interactions, and consistent visual language into a captivating design that resonates with the target audience.

Map design to code. Smooth constraints. Solve edge cases. Move that button 3 pixels to the left. Fill the gap between functional and delightful.

Test prototypes with real people against actual problems. Combine insights with gut intuition and experience. Iterate and improve in pursuit of perfection.
