The Texas Musical Theatre Workshop (TXMTW) is a summer musical theatre intensive for high school students and a writing retreat for composers and playwrights of new musicals. Started in 2012, I have built TXMTW’s digital presence from the ground up, including their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube), email marketing campaigns, and online application process.
The TXMTW website features filterable profiles of Teaching Artists, Interactive Media Galleries of past workshops and a fully digital online application and payment workflow onsite. The site is built on a custom WordPress theme that meets TXMTW’s specific needs as an organization. Enhancements have been made to the CMS to better support specific content types like Artist Profiles and Media Galleries, making it easy for TXMTW staff to import and manage their own content.
Extensive work was done using Google Analytics Visitor Flow to maximize registrations. Reduced site dropoff rates by 50% and increased registrations by 20%
Built with Jotform, the online Application process allows prospective students to enroll in camp, generating notifications to TXMTW staff, and creating an online profile for the student to provide the camp with their past experience, goals, head-shot and resume. The payment system is integrated into The University of Texas at Austin online payment system, TxShop.
